Wines from this vineyard, owned and managed
by the Burk and Espinosa families, have fascinated me for many
years. Located in the heart of the Santa Maria Valley, these
low-yielding vines, over 16 years old, grow on a sandy plateau.
This terroir creates Pinot Noir of fragrance
and fine texture that’s reminiscent of fine Burgundies.
My friendship with Vineyard Manager Gary Burk adds a special
dimension to my experiences with this vineyard.
